workwear for people whose job titles require explanation.

Workstream started with a simple observation: a lot of people do important work that is impossible to explain at a dinner party. forward deployed engineer. chief of staff. operator. solutions. the work is real. the title is a riddle.
so we make clothes for it. heavyweight, garment-dyed, well-proportioned basics — the kind you’d buy from a quiet apparel label that has never once said “merch.” the only difference is one small phrase, embroidered low on the chest, in lowercase thread.
the rule we hold ourselves to: the clothes have to be good even if you never get the reference. nobody should be able to tell whether “forward deployed” is a quiet flex, a quiet complaint, or simply what you happen to be wearing. all three are correct.
we’re not a startup-swag company. there is no quarter-zip with a logo the size of a dinner plate. no slogans. no hustle. just cotton, restraint, and a private language for the part of work that doesn’t fit on a card.
dress for the job you can’t quite describe.
